Home Advantage Downpayment Assistance

Home Advantage also offers downpayment assistance. This second mortgage loan program has a 0% interest rate, payment deferred for 30 years, and combines with the Home Advantage first mortgage loan program. Borrowers making less than the statewide income limit of $160,000 are eligible. Read more

Who is Eligible

  • Be a first-time homebuyer )not have owned a home within the last 3 years)
  • Income not exceeding $160,000
  • Must attend a homebuyer education course
  • Maximum DPA loan of up to 4% of the loan amount (5% using Home Advantage with conventional or FHA loan)

Opportunity Down Payment Assistance

Opportunity is a downpayment assistance, second mortgage loan program with a 1% interest rate, payment deferred for 30 years, up to $15,000, and combines with the Opportunity first mortgage loan program.

Borrowers must be first-time homebuyers or buying in a targeted area.  Borrowers must also qualify for the Opportunity first mortgage loan program.

Veterans Down Payment Assistance Program

The Veterans DPA Program is a second mortgage loan with a 3% interest rate and deferred payments for up to 30 years for Washington State veterans who have served the country. Veterans combine with the Home Advantage or House Key first mortgage loan program.

Who is Eligible

  • Persons receiving an honorable discharge or who have received a discharge for medical reasons with an honorable record;
  • Members and honorably discharged former members of the Washington National Guard and Reserve; and
  • Never remarried spouses and dependent children of deceased Veterans
  • Be first-time homebuyers or buy in a targeted area. Borrowers must qualify for one of the Commission’s first mortgage loan programs

  • King/Snohomish $115,700
  • All Other Counties $ 91,600

HomeChoice Down Payment Assistance Program

The HomeChoice DPA Program is a second mortgage loan program for qualified borrowers who have a disability or who have a family member with a disability living with them. Funds up to $15,000. HomeChoice combines with House Key and Home Advantage first mortgage loan programs. Read more
