WHEDA Advantage Program

Eligible borrowers can receive a reduced interest rate when buying a home in certain rural counties in Wisconsin. These counties are Ashland, Barron, Bayfield, Burnett, Clark, Crawford, Iron, Jackson, Juneau, Marinette, Marquette, Oconto, Rusk, Sawyer, and Trempealeau. Read more

Requirements

  • Minimum 620 credit score
  • Property must be located in Wisconsin
  • Must be your primary residence
  • Household income cannot exceed program limits
  • The purchase price cannot exceed program limits
  • Homebuyer education course required for first-time homebuyers

  • Single-family homes
  • Condominiums
  • 2-4 Units
  • Manufactured homes (double-wide)

 

WHEDA Rehabilitation Mortgage Program

Borrowers can buy a home and get a loan for repairs in one loan with the WWHEDA Rehabilitation Mortgage Program. Up to six months of mortgage payments can be financed into the loan while work is being done to the property.

WHEDA Easy Close DPA

  • Minimum $1000 loan amount
  • Up to 6% of the purchase price when combined with a conventional first mortgage loan
  • 10-year fixed-rate second mortgage with a rate the same as the first mortgage
  • Maximum HCLTV 105%

WHEDA Capital Access DPA

  • Minimum $3,050 loan amount
  • Maximum loan amount of 3% of the purchase price or $3,050 whichever is greater
  • 30-year fixed-rate mortgage with 0% interest and no monthly payments
  • Maximum HCLTV 105%
